
Arash Shojaie

Arash joined QIC in 2013. His role with the Infrastructure Investment Team is principally focused on origination, transaction execution and asset management across multiple infrastructure sectors in North America. Arash is currently based in New York and was previously located in QIC’s Sydney (2013-17) and Brisbane (2018-21) offices.
During his time at QIC, Arash has been involved in the origination and execution of investment opportunities, primarily across Australia and North America, covering electricity networks, midstream, renewable energy, water, telecommunications and waste. He led QIC’s 2019,2021 and 2023 investments in Generate; led QIC’s 2021 investment in Renewa and was a key member of the deal team in the 2015 acquisition of Lochard Energy. He was also a key member of the post-acquisition transition teams and asset management teams for Generate, CenTrio, Renewa Lochard Energy, Powerco and Epic Energy.
Arash has over 16 years of experience in infrastructure investment management and financial advisory, and in 2023 was named in Infrastructure Investor's 2023 list of 20 Rising Stars in the industry. Prior to joining QIC, Arash was an Associate in UBS’s Infrastructure team based in Sydney, responsible for M&A advisory and a broad range of debt and equity capital markets transactions.
Arash is currently a director on the boards of CenTrio Energy and Renewa.
Arash holds a Bachelor of Commerce (First Class Honours) from the University of New South Wales.
